The red carpet is back in Penarth!

We’re delighted to be helping Victoria put her stamp on her new home.

As always it starts with the protection of all areas we are working before ny tools come out the van.

This property was poorly plastered & decorated in the past, so we’ve got our work cut out with the prep. Extensive sanding (dustless of course) and lots of filling to give Victoria a great finish!

Raising the curtain on a fresh new look at the Cowbridge Market Theatre.
We had the pleasure of being asked to complete a light refurbishment of the theatre’s bar area.
The Process:
• Stripped out old wiring, rusted fittings, and radiators.
• Ran new cables for modern lighting positions.
• Plaster boarded and skimmed the ceiling and walls.
• Installed new skirtings and gave everything a fresh coat of paint.
• Fitted a new radiator and modern, fit-for-purpose lighting.
The space is no longer dark and uninviting; we injected a new lease of life what was once a tired-looking, outdated space.

A quality finish starts in the preparation.

We recently had the pleasure of transforming this hall, stairs, and landing for a lovely couple near Pentyrch.

At Finishing Solutions, we take pride in our preparation. We lay premium protective floor coverings as standard. Surfaces are prepared with dustless sanders to ensure walls are nice and smooth. We know how stressful it can be having work done, especially when you have large furniture pieces that can’t be moved. We protect those bulky items for your peace of mind.

Ceilings: Dulux white cotton mixed into Johnstone's Ultra Flat Matt for a flawless, non-reflective finish.
Walls: The timeless ‘Farrow & Ball,’ Dorset cream paint.
Woodwork: Dulux white cotton in Johnstone’s Aqua guard satin for ultimate durability.
Detail: A striking bronze handrail for an elegant touch.

From "unusable" to the most popular room in the house!

We all know the struggle with conservatories—freezing in the winter and like a greenhouse in the summer.

We were delighted to head back to a returning client’s home to help them reclaim their space for year-round use.

The transformation started with a high-performance Leka Roof System, supplied and installed by the team at Capital Upvc Cardiff.

To bring the interior to life, we provided the finishing touches:
✅ All walls dustless sanded for a mess-free, flawless finish.
✅ Finished in the classic Dulux Timeless for a bright, airy, and inviting feel.

Recently installed this super customisable 3m x 5m aluminum pergola for returning customers — and it’s a game changer. The large UV-protective panels make the space usable year-round, whether it’s keeping cooler on the hottest days or getting the damp washing out of the house on the wettest. Really enjoyed this one! Over time, the beams had shrunk back, leaving unstained patches and noticeable gaps between the timber and plasterwork. Some needed the beams built back to meet the plaster, others required the plaster to be filled back to the beam for a seamless finish.
Once the gaps were filled, every beam was re-stained to restore its rich character, then dustless sanded the walls and finished off with a fresh coat of paint.

From water-damaged walls to a flawless transformation! After a roof leak affected the lounge fireplace wall and the bedroom above, we treated the staining, re-plastered for a seamless finish, and ensured every detail was just right. When a secondary leak left damp patches, we returned to apply stain block, sealed the entire wall with Zinsser Gardz, refreshed the room paintwork and completed the look with Dulux Heritage Sage Green for a fresh, elegant feature wall. The final touch? Moving everything back as if nothing ever happened—because we believe the little things matter!"
