Think damp is a winter problem? Think again.

With another warm, humid spell forecast for August, closed windows, blasting fans and air con can trap moisture indoors just as easily as cold weather does. Condensation on windows, a musty smell in a wardrobe, or black spots creeping into a bathroom corner — these show up in summer too.

The heat doesn't cause damp. But humid air, poor airflow and an existing weak spot in your property will make it worse.
