👋 Remember our amazing book 'Atgofion'? Well, that was part of the Wales REACH (Residents Engaging in Arts, Culture and Heritage) initiative - a heritage and creative arts project working with a range of communities across Wales, including the community of Sandfields.
✍️The REACH project also worked with Sandfields library, community garden group, Awel Y Mor primary school, a knitting group (who meet at Ysbryd Y Mor on a Tuesday afternoon), and others, to explore and celebrate their heritage in creative ways.
🖼 The fruits of everyone's labour were displayed today at an exhibition in Sandfields Holy Trinity Church. And it's fair to say that those involved in bringing the exhibition together did an amazing job! It was lovely to see what people have created and shared. One of our residents, Richard, even got up and shared a few words.
⚓️Ysbryd Y Mor will be hosting this exhibition in the near future, with the final exhibition taking place at the Museum of Welsh Life in the Autumn, which we're very excited about!
🙏 A big thank you to all who contributed to our book and another big thank you to Diane, Flo, Richard and Avril Curtis for joining me today! Here are some photos from the event 😊
