We always feel so flattered to receive a review like this. We consider ourselves so lucky to host such wonderful guests.
We stayed here for 10 days in June with our two Springer Spaniels.
The cottage is lovely and cosy and very well equipped, probablybthe best we've had over the years.
We were left a goody bag of foods which was well received. I think what is left might vary from week to week, so would recommend a trip to the local Tesco for other stuff once you are settled in. There is also a co op up the hill opposite and turn right.
The two local chippies are good, though Chesil Chippie has limited opening times.
The Cove Inn is great but busy, booking advised. Ship Inn a friendly local with some characters! Up from the Co Op are three more local pubs.
Squiddles is great for breakfast and light lunchtimes, the Calamari were the best we've had.
The Jailhouse Café does good breakfasts and goes to a charity.
The sunsets, whether from the patio at the cottage, the pubs or the beach are fantastic.
There was a Pizza oven in the garden and we had brought some sour dough pizza bases along. Yes, you can have an oven too hot!
The gas fire pit was lovely in the evening watching the sun set with a glass of wine.
Little bay at Wyke is great for dogs and is partly many and quiet.
Billy Winters is great. The newly reopened Indian and takeaway is good with all the usual dishes and some slightly unusual.
We had a bad experience at Salt and are awaiting their response.
The WiFi is good and reliable and the TV a full smart TV.
A huge selection of games we're available.
The only slight downside was the lack of parking, but we managed by parking just outside, unlosding and then parking (free) just down the road.
Thank you Jenny and Ed.
