WE’RE FINALISTS!! 🥳🌊

We’re SO excited to share that Coastal Vibes Cruises has been named a finalist in the Tourism Awards - South West 🎉

To say we’re chuffed would be a bit of an understatement!
A huge thank you to every single person who has stepped aboard, booked a trip, joined us for a cruise, recommended us to friends & family or supported us along the way. We absolutely love what we do and getting to show off our gorgeous stretch of the Dorset coastline makes it even better 💙

And of course, a BIG shoutout to our brilliant crew who make every trip what it is, we couldn’t do it without you! Now we’ll be keeping everything crossed for the awards… but for now, we’re just very proud to be a finalist! 💙🌊

The next Haunted Harbour Tour from Weymouth Heritage Centre takes place this Wednesday 9 September 👻

Discover a darker side of Weymouth’s history on a 90-minute walking tour through the Old Harbour and some of the town’s lesser-known passageways.

Hear tales of a forgotten graveyard, strange spectral sightings, Saxon massacres, the Black Death, murders and mysteries, haunted happenings and even a forgotten 17th-century battlefield.

The tour starts outside the Nothe Tavern on Barrack Road at 7.30pm, before winding its way through Weymouth and finishing at Brewers Quay, outside the Red Lion, a pub with its own reputation for being haunted. 👻

A fascinating journey into some of the more mysterious chapters of Weymouth’s past… if you dare!

🎆 Did you enjoy Weymouth’s summer fireworks this year?

Thousands of people headed to the seafront and other viewpoints around Weymouth Bay to watch the displays during the 2026 summer season. Now there’s just ONE WEEK LEFT to let Weymouth Town Council what you thought of them.

Weymouth Town Council’s are running survey open until Monday 14 September, and they’d like to hear from residents and visitors about their experience.

Loved them? Think something could be improved? Whatever your view, this is your chance to help shape future events in Weymouth.

Weymouth and Portland are seaside communities, and we regularly see the dedication and selfless commitment of our local Weymouth Lifeboat crew and RNLI Lifeguards Weymouth and West Dorset.

We see them put themselves in difficult and sometimes dangerous situations to help anyone in distress at sea, whoever they may be.

With a great deal being shared and discussed on social media at the moment, we feel it is important to share this statement from the RNLI, which explains their role and the lifesaving work they carry out around our coasts.

Our local lifeboat crew and RNLI Lifeguards are an important part of our community, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do. 💙
