🚛We are recruiting a Class 1 HGV driver to join our team 🚛

Join the team at G E Heard and Sons, we are seeking a professional and dependable driver to join us.
If you are committed, take pride in your work and have a good can do attitude this is your opportunity.

ℹ️Role overview ℹ️
Your main responsibility will be the collection and delivery or Oil drums and IBC tanks.
You’ll operate your own designated vehicle, with no cab swapping so you look after and keep the truck clean.
All work is curtain sider work.

📅Working hours 📅
Factory hours consist of 0700-1600 however drivers tend to set off approx 0500. Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend morning shift to help assist in 6 weekly pmi’s if required.
Occasional nights out but only as an when and plenty of notice given. You will be home most evenings as this is mainly for day work.
Once you return from deliveries / collections you will prepare the trailer for the next working day, and then can either assist within the factory or finish the days shift and go home prior to 1600.

💸Salary & Benefits 💸
£14 p/h, plus overtime and other benefits.
28 days paid holiday.

✅ What we’re looking for✅
Valid Class 1 (C+E) license.
Valid digi card.
21 and over for insurance purposes.
A team player with a professorial and flexible attitude.
A reliable, punctual and safety-conscious driver.
A professional & self motivated individual.
Experience with curtain side trailer preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
Ability to use the smart tablet for defects and consignment notes.
