Landlord update (and an update for anyone interested in the Private Rental Sector). With the passage of the Renters Rights Act on to the statute books, it is now becoming clear that many landlords are selling up. if true, this will lead to a shortage of supply and harm tenants looking for a property. But the situation can yet be saved, not by changing the legislation but by delivering the conciliation/mediation service that landlords and tenants have been promised, and by tightening up on misappropriation of housing benefit. Portsmouth Landlords have done a deep dive to look at some recent cases and explain what can be achieved. Well worth a read.

Have you been a bit baffled About why Prince Andrew has not been asked to leave Royal Lodge? Do you even care? If you actually want to know why the King, his landlord, might seem to be dragging is feet, it is because his hands are tied. After all the publicity about hashtag in hashtag over the last few weeks, you would think we are swarming with them, unable to move or Park. In fact, Portsmouth City Council who take eye watering sums from hashtag have been forced to admit, there is actually a decline in HMO rooms. hashtag hashtag set absurdly high communal space requirements, forcing HMOs into a small area, but many more have shut as my friend Martin Silman of hashtag reports. Oh dear!
