Mid-way through a full house refurbishment, and the scale of this one is clear.

The original house has been stripped back to its structure and re-engineered, with a major structural extension opening up the rear, new timber cladding outside, and underfloor heating and screed down throughout. In the garden, the oak framed pool house is up on its slab.

Plenty still ahead, but fantastic progress being made!

We're pleased to showcase one of our latest projects, an incredible kitchen extension.

Natural light was a key focus throughout this build. Sky lights overhead and large glazed doors to the garden mean the space feels open and airy at every time of day, while the deep green kitchen with stone-effect worktops and brass detailing brings warmth and character to the room.

Beyond the kitchen itself, the project delivers on practicality too, with a dedicated utility space, a toilet, and air conditioning installed for comfort all year round.

It's all in the details.

This time last year, we completed this oak frame extension, and it remains one of our favourite projects to look back on. The pegged oak joints and carpenter's marks scribed into each post are left on show in the finished rooms, a nod to how the frame went together.

Vaulted ceilings, exposed trusses, a galleried oak staircase and full height glazing along the garden elevation. Traditional materials, modern detailing and precision in every joint.

Kaldewei. A world-renowned bathroom brand, and one we were proud to work alongside for their latest London showcase.

Set against the stunning backdrop of The Charterhouse, one of the city's most historic venues, we handled the full exhibition build from start to finish. Initial install, product placement, collection and delivery. Every stage-managed in-house.

It's a side of Farr Homes that doesn't always get the spotlight, but the same meticulous attention to detail and start-to-finish approach that we bring to every new build, extension, and refurbishment travels with us wherever the brief takes us.

Not every great project starts with an extension or a full renovation. Sometimes it starts with a garage.

This double garage conversion gave us the opportunity to create something genuinely multi-functional, a serious strength training setup, a freestanding infrared sauna, and a full-width mirror that opens the space up visually. Rubber tile flooring and recessed LED lighting keep the interior feeling clean and considered rather than cluttered.

Outside, a set of handcrafted carriage doors in sage green tie the whole conversion together.

Functional, well-finished, and built to last, the same standard we bring to every project we take on.

Another great transformation completed by our team here at Farr Homes. A new double garage door opening was created, steel roller doors fitted, and fresh cladding installed throughout, delivering a sleek, modern finish that has completely elevated the property's appeal.

This gave the double garage a new, modern look, with easier access for vehicles in and out, ensuring any vehicles are kept safe and easily moveable, at any time!

Take a look at this flat refurbishment recently completed by Farr Homes, where every detail was designed with the resident’s needs at the centre of the project, allowing complete wheelchair usability!

From the outset, this was a project built around accessibility and freedom of movement. Doorways were widened throughout to allow easier wheelchair access and remove the everyday barriers that so many residents face within their own homes.

The kitchen has been fully adapted with modifications to countertop heights, clearance space and layout, making independent living a practical reality rather than an afterthought. The bathroom has been equally considered, carefully reconfigured with safety, comfort and dignity at the forefront.

A fob-controlled rear entrance was also installed, giving the resident secure, independent access on their own terms.

Emergency Call Out - Overnight Repair Works

When a water leak caused significant structural ceiling damage at a busy retail store, we were contacted to carry out an emergency call-out and get the site back to a safe, operational condition, with minimal disruption to the business.

Our team worked through the night to safely strip back the damaged ceiling, carry out all necessary repair works, and ensure the site was left clean, tidy, and ready for trading by opening time the following morning.

Super pleased with the results!

This rear kitchen extension is a project we're truly proud to showcase.

Externally, the carefully selected brick work sits sympathetically against the existing property, respecting its traditional character whilst feeling fresh and considered. The white-framed doors and windows create a seamless connection between the interior and the newly laid stone patio beyond.

Inside, the transformation speaks for itself. The open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space is flooded with natural light from both the generous windows and a central skylight above. Warm oak flooring flows throughout, and every detail, from the kitchen island to the carefully chosen finishes, has been crafted to create a space that is as functional as it is beautiful.
