It's the little things that could make a big difference.

Just because the join is inside a cupboard store and in a tight corner next to a door frame does NOT mean that it is okay to not seal the junction.

This leaves a 'small' gap that could result in a big drop in temperature inside the house due to drafts and also allow bugs from the roof void space (yes including wasps) to make their way into the house.
