The planned development on the fields around Chilton School & Coastguard cottages is still only at the concept stages - the developer DOESN’T own the land, it’s NOT included in the local plan and there hasn’t been any form of planning application lodged.
The more we as a community can do to prevent the site being adopted in the planned update of the Local Plan the less chance the developer has of gaining planning permission.
At the recent ‘consultation’ the developer stated that their plan is for 196 homes on these fields with access from a narrow & congested part of Pegwell Road. This number of homes seems a massive overdevelopment and needs to be stopped now - before it actually gets to planning stage.
