Today is National Lollipop Day. But did you know that just like whole grapes the colourful treats can be a serious choking hazard?

The hard sweet, which is the perfect size and shape to completely block a small child’s airway, can come off the stick and block a child’s airway. This happens silently and if you’re not watching you might not even notice.

Please think twice before giving a lollipop to a young child.

Summer holidays starting this week, here are some local places to where children eat free or pay a small amount 🍔🌭🌮🍕🥗🥪🍖🍱🥘🍝🍳🍎

The thoughts of leaving your little one for the first time with someone else can be daunting.
Small things mean the most, things I have done that have worked for mine🥰
• Creating quick positive goodbye or special goodbye only you both know👋🏼
• Moms or dads scent on a little teddy or comforter🧸
• Reassurance that you will be there at a time and be there🕰️
• Keychain of a family picture, small to carry in pocket 📸
• Little notes in pack ups so they know you are thinking of them throughout the day📝
• Honesty with little one, this will help with develop a strong moral compass, where children learn to differentiate between right and wrong from a young age but keep in mind the child’s age and understanding 😇
•Staying calm as little ones are incredibly perceptive and they’ll likely mirror your emotions, I like to say their little cute sponges 😅🥰

Lovely Leprechauns Childcare will officially be opening January 2025 in Rawcliffe, meaning less than 6 month to go🥰🤗🍀🌈💚
I am opening with limited spaces as I want to ensure each child who attends is giving the correct care and attention whilst having fun learning, getting muddy, meeting little friends, going on adventures but mostly making memories🫶🏼🫧🧠🎨✨🦋🐸☔️☀️
I have already got a waiting list📝
There will be funded spaces available, I will write a post on this soon😊
