here is the next step we take when repointing these old engeneering with lime mortar.

giveing it a good sticking and a brush off.

as you can see the bricks are not stained like some people make out is gonna happen and what is lef a little rub with some loft insulation will sort it right out.

One of the ways we dress our lime mortar repointing is to use a wire brush to flush off the mortar followed by I brush to buff up the aggregates

We had the pleasure of been asked to clean the brickwork and repoint with a line more.

A great example of what can be achieved with the right cleaning methods and traditional lime mortar repointing.

The property on the left is one we recently completed in Marske-by-the-Sea. The neighbouring property on the right gives a good indication of how the brickwork looked before the restoration work began.

Over the years, dirt, pollution and failed mortar joints had dulled the appearance of the building and allowed moisture to pe*****te the masonry.

After carefully cleaning the brickwork and repointing with a breathable lime mortar, the original character and colour of the property have been brought back to life.

No paint. No coatings. Just proper masonry restoration.
