This week has been super busy for us 😀 we carried out our services mainly in Middlesbrough, Redcar, Saltburn, Stockton and Stokesley.

We also recently completed a large house clearance at this beautiful family home in Marske, some items were able to be repurposed before disposing the remaining residual waste at our local commercial waste facility. More satisfied customers 🙂

One of our dear friends needed some assistance with clearing this gorgeous seaside bungalow in Port Mulgrave a couple of weeks back. Lets talk rubbish,

An estimated 8 million books a year are thrown away and disposed at landfills in the UK, if you add the annual year of the USA its 320 million. In terms of weight, 25000 books equate to 10 tonnes approximately.

In the UK recycling books depends on certain conditions, its condition and also its binding. Because of the glue that runs along its spine, it's something that you cannot simply put into your household recycling bin.

Book banks dotted around the UK not only provide a new lease of life for good conditioned books, but delay these items from ending up in landfill at some point in the future.

Some books even have a barcode which you may be able to sell online to such places at webuybooks.com or musicmagpie

At House Clearance Company, we have come around possibly billions of books throughout our 16 plus years of trading. Our aim is to recycle as much of these items as possible before disposing them correctly at our local commercial waste facility.
