🏠📈 The latest Nationwide House Price Index reveals that UK house prices continued their gentle upward trend in May, with the annual rate of growth rising slightly to 3.5%.

Just read an eye-opening article about how homeowners with spray foam insulation are struggling to sell or remortgage their properties, as some major lenders are rejecting homes with it installed. 😬

I had my own experience with this when I was buying a house 18 months ago. After paying £300 for my searches and getting my mortgage valuation, I was shocked when it was rejected because of the foam installation. I tried with another lender, but was declined again. In the end, I had to pull out of the purchase entirely at a loss. To make matters worse, the vendor had to replace the entire roof months down the line.

This issue is becoming more and more common, and I feel that installation companies are seriously misleading their clients about the long-term implications of foam insulation.

So, if you're looking to buy or sell a home with foam insulation, PLEASE do your research and be aware of the risks. 🏡💡 "
