⚡ “Relentless.” That’s how the wholesale energy markets are being described this week.

Prices rising, quotations needing frequent re-pricing and continued uncertainty around global energy supplies.

But there’s another side to this conversation.

Businesses have options.

From traditional fixed contracts to flexible purchasing and alternative electricity procurement models, including opportunities to source renewable energy more directly.

Not every option will suit every business. That’s exactly why understanding consumption, contract arrangements and the wider market is so important.

Working with my Corporate Account Manager, Jo Nixon, at Full Power Utilities, we’re looking beyond simply securing the next rate.

We’re looking at what’s appropriate for each business, both now and for the longer term.

🥂The Full Power Awards Gala was brilliant on Friday! I won an award (yay 🙌🏼⚡️), caught up with suppliers, consultants and other partners, and generally had a very fun time.

The entertainment from Richard Jones was also fantastic! His show is called Soldier of Illusion! So so good.

👉🏼⚡️At the weekend I headed up to Birmingham for a Utility Warehouse partner event. Round trip in one day...ugh, brutal, followed by a gig the same evening!

Was REALLY good to be there though! UW is who I partner with when it comes to all domestic utility needs, under the umbrella of Current Utilities. It's been nearly 7 years!

As you may have seen, from 1 October, the typical household figure rises by 4%, from £1,663 to £1,723 a year. That's about £5 per month, on average.

🧐 Most of us don't go looking for things to change. Broadband, mobiles, energy, boiler cover… if it's working, we tend to leave it alone. But as a friend of mine used to say, “Change makes change.”

Full fibre arriving in your area? Mobile contracts mounting up? Boiler on its last legs? Energy prices creeping up?

I've written a short piece about some of the reasons now might actually be a good time to look at what you've got coming in and going out.

Sometimes the saving isn't about one bill. It's about looking at the whole household.

⚡️⚡️⚡️Looking forward to being at the Business Show tomorrow! What a stunning evening in this lovely coastal town.

This place holds so many memories for me. I grew up going to a recording studio just next to The Grand, when my dad would be recording artists and the family would enjoy the seaside while he was working. 🙏🏻

Later we would bring my grandparents here, they loved it!
