Party Wall Agreements
A party wall is the shared wall, usually between a terrace or semi-detached house, and divides the homes of two separate owners. It can also include garden walls built over a boundary and excavations close to a neighbours property (within three or six metres, depending on the depth of the new foundations).

A Party Wall Agreement ensures that before building works start, all affected neighbours are aware of, and agree to the works taking place. These are most commonly needed for building works that include loft conversions, inserting damp proof courses or digging new foundations for an extension.

John completed his MSc in Building Surveying at the University College of Estate Management in Reading. John has a strong background in property development and maintenance and has a fantastic eye for detail.
