We’ve seen stepped cracking at several properties we’ve surveyed recently.

🧱 These cracks follow the mortar joints between bricks or blocks, creating a staircase pattern.

⚠️ So what could be behind it?

There can be a number of possible causes, including:

SH Woodhouse Surveying Takes on the Dash in the Dark! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️😄✨

We had a fantastic time taking part in a fun 5K at the weekend in Southampton supporting the incredible Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance 🚁

With over 800 participants, it was a brilliant evening with an amazing £25,000+ raised 🙌

And with two directors came two very different running styles… 😂

When the loft hatch feels like the entrance to a sauna, you know it’s time to make a quick escape! 🤪

Our amazing residential building surveyor Steve, meanwhile, powered through the heat to carry out a thorough inspection of the roof space for our client 🙌 What a champ! 👏

& he came back down looking very ready for a shower & change of shirt!! 😅
