A lovely little project we will be taking on next spring. A timber framed stable built in 1940 on peasmarsh place. The materials will come from felled trees on the estate. Oak, chestnut and we spotted some small elm that had died last year to use which will be nice as the waney edge thats left is actually elm. Lord Davenports family have Owned the estate for 90 years and takes great care of the trees and general habitat of the land.

On to our first lime of the season this absolutely beautiful 15th century Wealden Hall House in hawkhurst, Kent. Built by the adjacent church and then Formerly a tavern named the swan. Later a village workhouse now 4 separate dwellings. We are working on both the rear 2 houses which is the original hall section.

Rain rain rain... in the workshop repairing some 19th century shutters from a grade 2 listed old butchers in Rye. These were from the later slaughter house at the back dating 1850. Now being converted.
