Littleborough trader becomes first to promote
‘Buy with Confidence’ to local consumers
Rochdale Borough Council has signed up its first business to ‘Buy with Confidence’, an innovative scheme which aims to promote the highest standards of trading in local communities.
Littleborough Removals demonstrated excellence in a number of areas across the business. The company can now use the ‘Buy with Confidence’ logo on its products and will appear on a national database of approved companies.
The aim of ‘Buy with Confidence’ is to provide consumers with positive information about local businesses that prioritise excellent customer service.
James Beninson, the owner of Littleborough Removals, said: “I am delighted to have signed up to this fantastic scheme. We have always put a strong emphasis on excellent customer service and it’s great that Rochdale trading standards have recognised our work.”
Rochdale Borough Council is now asking other local businesses to sign up to ‘Buy with Confidence’.
Andrea Fallon, Rochdale Borough Council’s director with responsibility for public protection, said:
“The scheme hopes to improve consumer protection across the area and gives consumers a reliable way of finding trustworthy local businesses. It helps ensure money is spent locally, which increases investment and boosts the local economy.
“The more traders that sign up, the more positive information local people will have about the many excellent small and medium businesses we have across the borough.”
