💛 A little stay, a little kindness, and something to look forward to… 💛

This week, we have the absolute joy of donating a stay at Old Forge Cottage to some very deserving guests through the wonderful charity Something To Look Forward To 🥰

It’s such a lovely feeling to be able to share our little home-from-home with people who deserve a bit of time away, a change of scene, and the chance to make some special memories together.

We started Old Forge Cottage because we love welcoming people and helping them enjoy time away from the everyday. Being able to do that for a cause so close to our hearts makes it all the more meaningful. ❤️

We’re so proud to support the amazing work that Something to Look Forward To does, helping people affected by cancer access experiences and breaks that might otherwise be out of reach.

Sometimes, a few days away can mean so much more than just a holiday. ✨

Today the car needed a little trip to the garage so whilst she was getting sorted Max and I took a walk.🐾

I hadn't done this walk for ages but it is one that's so interesting and a fairly flat 4 mile walk (there and back) so perfect for all ages, or you can extend into a much longer circular walk. 🍂🍁

Max enjoyed the face to face with a friendly cow and trying to drag me into the lake for a swim!......

And of course, as it's me there is usually coffee involved so a quick pop along to the carrotandwine stores afterwards.

🏰 A MEDIEVAL CASTLE, WOODLAND TRAILS & THE BEAUTIFUL RIVER WYE!

Set in the stunning Wye Valley, this 6.3-mile circular walk takes you past the magnificent Goodrich Castle, through peaceful woodland and along the beautiful banks of the River Wye.

Expect gorgeous countryside, winding riverside paths, a few hills to get the heart pumping and plenty of places to stop and soak up the views.

And why not make a proper day of it? Explore the castle or finish with a well-earned pub lunch in the village! 🍻

"Zoe, you are the perfect host!
The cottage is beautifully and creatively decorated and equipped, you really have thought of everything. Comfy beds, lovely big communal socialising area for our family party of 6 celebrating a big birthday.

Super location for town, visiting the local area and walking to the River Wye.
We feel loath to recommend you, as we'll never be able to find a slot to come again!
Seriously though, we will be back, it's now one of our favourite places to come, thank you so much!"
