Are you tired of waiting for your sale (or purchase) to go through ?

Honestly .. so am I 😂

The process has never been so slow and I wanted to give you a few tips to make sure there are no unnecessary delays.

❤️ Firstly, don’t delay in getting your paperwork and ID checks done.. legally your solicitor cannot begin anything without these so make the time to get them back without delay!

❤️ if any initial monies are needed .. pay it swiftly! Days turn into weeks with conveyancing and lots of small delays turn into a big one.

❤️ Keep in regular contact with your solicitor .. be the proactive one! It may come as a surprise but agents really struggle to get updates and we are ignored on a weekly basis .. good job we don’t take it personally 😂

❤️ if you are selling, provide your solicitor with as much paperwork as possible as this will speed up the legal enquiries and hopefully avoid delays later on.

❤️ Be clear about your timescales from the start.. don’t surprise your solicitor with a last minute holiday, if you have any issues with any moving dates, put these on your forms.

❤️ Try and use a local solicitor.. it will be super easy to be able to call and drop anything off rather than relying on the post.
