Its great to see Government bodies leading the way in renewables with PV, Biomass and Hydro all on one site but unfortunately it does highlight the limitations of SBEM – Unable to enter Hydro systems into the software.

An eye opening piece here, claiming the "UK will likely need to invest upwards of £40 billion a year to achieve net zero.

Its a high cost, but is it worth it?

(Montel) The UK will likely need to invest upwards of GBP 40bn a year in infrastructure if it is to successfully transition to a net zero carbon economy, a sustainability consultant told an energy forum on Tuesday.

Andrew Parkin, chair of PEPA, says: “Incredibly we are building flats in some parts of the country that are less energy efficient than those which were built decades ago.”

If these changes are made, will energy efficiency of homes improve?

A collective of government appointed accreditation schemes has called on the government to do more to improve energy efficiency in the country’s homes.
