I love food and occasionally share places I’ve genuinely enjoyed, and on Friday night we tried Tasca Frango in York.

It’s a cosy, relaxed restaurant serving Portuguese-inspired small plates and tapas, and it was absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic, the food arrived quickly, and everything tasted incredibly fresh.

The anchovies were out of this world and an absolute must-order!

Sold in just one week. Over asking price. Multiple offers received.

But this sale was never just about achieving the best price.

The property belonged to the mother of a school mum friend who sadly passed away recently, so this was never going to be just another house sale. It needed to be handled with care, compassion and efficiency during what has been a very difficult time for the family.

Finding a buyer quickly was important, but finding the right buyer was even more important.

This was a much-loved family home and it deserved to continue being one. It was never a property that should be snapped up by an investor or landlord. The family wanted it to go to people who would love it, fill it with memories and make it their own.

One of the things I value most about being an independent agent is that I can take the time to understand what really matters to my clients. They’re never just another instruction and their homes are never just another listing.

I’m delighted to have matched this home with the most wonderful family. They’ve already been telling Father Christmas that he’ll need to visit their new house this year for their four-month-old baby, and that really brought home what this move means.
