The Rendezvous café, skating down as kids, Sandy Cove on a summer’s day… the memories just kept coming when we asked people on the street about the Old Town 🌊

Fancy a chat on the sofa? 🛋️👀

We'll be out on the High Street tomorrow (Wednesday 29th July) from 9am-1pm with our Old Town Stories sofa, chatting to local people about their memories of Runcorn Old Town… we're sure you have many!

We'll be asking questions like:
"What does the Old Town mean to you?"
"Do you have any memories here?"

Plus so much more… we want the real honest stories from other locals!

Our Old Town Stories project is funded by Pride in Place, & this summer we're gathering memories & stories of the Old Town - thinking about the future possibilities too 🙌

Come find us, grab a seat & tell us what this place means to you - no pressure, just a chat with our friendly volunteers (& fellow locals!).

We will be filming for our social media channels, but consent forms with more information on where it will be going will be provided on the day.

Batman spotted in the Old Town? 👀🦇

The Silver Jubilee Bridge went full Gotham City this weekend for The Batman 2 movie filming - surreal seeing our bridge being featured in a world class movie like this!

We loved seeing Old Town being talked about & watching people pop down for a visit as they witnessed it being filmed 🎥

Funded by Pride in Place, we’re on a mission to gather the memories, stories & moments that make Runcorn Old Town what it is… before we start reimagining what comes next as a Community Land Trust!
