Following a number of recent water-related deaths during the last heatwave, we’re reminding everyone to stay safe as temperatures rise again.
If you’re heading to a lake, river, the seaside, or any open water to cool down, please remember these important safety messages:
💧 Alcohol and drugs do not mix with swimming
💧 Never swim alone in unsupervised locations, and never leave children unattended near water
💧 Choose to swim at purpose-built and supervised areas, such as swimming pools or beaches with lifeguards
💧 Stay hydrated and stay together - regularly check in with the people you’re with
