Ensuite shower room refit. Stripped back to the timbers, new plumbing, new electrics, reboarded, walls and floor tiled and new suite fitted and finally decorated and silicones applied. Very rewarding results. Now its a modern more user friendly shower space as we managed to gain 250mm by rebuilding the boxing in a lot smaller allowing for a much larger shower tray to be fitted and wall hung vanity hand basin unit and wall hung mirror allow for great storage. I haven't posted for a while as I have been so absorbed with this job in Camber. This property was empty/unchecked for about 6 weeks and sustained a leak from the ensuite WC Fill Valve end of summer last year and took a while to get insurance approval to carry out the extensive repairs required throughout the property. Its shocking to see what damage water actually does, this job was no exception with damage throughout the ground floor, 1st floor ensuite into the master bedroom and attached bedrooms and master bathroom. 7 solid weeks of work and its completed, this included lots of additional work the client wanted while the property was internally pulled apart. Complete new Master Bathroom fitted in same flood damaged property. Everything came out, literally everything, and everything went back in to include new plumbing, new electrics, new walls, ceiling, quality bathroom fittings and fixtures. It was a challenge but the result is very rewarding.

This is one of the current jobs. This is what a 1st floor leaking WC Fill valve shank can do if left un-noticed for a few weeks and what my customer walked into late last year, gladly the homeowner had a good home insurance policy that will cover the cost to repair all this. Over the next 12 weeks while we carry out the various refurbishments in this property I will post updates, but for now, check or get checked these innocent looking valves located directly under your toilet cistern (see photo to see what this valve looks like). This is a surprisingly common fault, more so with fill valve with a plastic shank

Its not just about the large Jobs. My customer wanted a gate to match the timber picket fencing so when the front door was opened the dog couldn't make a run for it out onto the road. I was only to happy to make this bespoke gate, painted it and fitted nice quality gate furniture to include an auto gate closure spring. Another job ticked off the list! Plastic is Fantastic! With wood costs spiralling to all time high levels and maintaining painted timber picket fencing being costly, during 2024 we supplied and installed numerous plastic picket fences around Rye and Camber. Scared to touch your mains water stopc**k that lurks somewhere under your sink, or worst still hidden under a floorboard somewhere, last seen when you moved in ! Iv found them everywhere to be honest and most look like the one photographed, either leaking or certainly will leak if its touched. Have your mains water stop c**k replaced and upgraded for a WRAS lever stop c**k like the one I fitted last week, so you can quickly isolate your water when needed without the worry of not knowing if you can quickly turn your water off.

Fences rocking in the wind ? posts broken ? I managed to get a few repaired recently, thankfully in good time before this recent front of wet windy weather arrived. Don't leave your fence until it eventually falls flat on the floor as you can save yourself money by having it repaired as soon as it shows movement.
