It has been one week since we took down the bell tents and wrapped up our second season, and what better way to look back than through the words of our guests.

We are now at an incredible 51 Google 5 star reviews, plus 17 on FreeToBook, 14 on Airbnb, eight 10/10 reviews on Booking.com and five 100% recommendations on Facebook.

For our little family business, that really does mean the world. Thank you to everyone who has stayed with us over our first two summers.

And just like that, our second season at Readers Field Glamping is over.

Today the tents came down after another amazing summer. It always feels strange seeing the field empty again after weeks of welcoming so many lovely guests.

A huge thank you to everyone who stayed with us, recommended us, left us such lovely feedback and supported our small family business this summer. It really does mean so much to us.

What a lovely way to spend our penultimate weekend of the season.

This weekend we welcomed a full site hire to Readers Field Glamping, with three birthdays to celebrate! We loved adding some birthday touches to the tents ready for their arrival.

And just like that, we only have one more weekend left of our 2026 season. We cannot quite believe how quickly our second summer has gone.

One final weekend and one final group to welcome before we close the gates for another year.

What a treat to be guests at Readers Field Glamping for the night.

In the middle of a very busy summer season, we managed to grab just one night to stay ourselves.

It was so wonderful to pause for a moment and enjoy all the little things we love about the field. Time with our daughter and granddaughter, watching the sun go down, the fairy lights coming on and the most incredible night of stargazing ✨

Meet your hosts - we are Kim & Stephen, the faces behind Readers Field Glamping.

We have lived next door to the field for 40 years and have had it for over 20. For most of that time it was simply a hay meadow, with the occasional sheep grazing.

With four children and now four grandchildren, family has always been a huge part of our lives. They inspired us to bring life back to the field and create somewhere families, couples and friends could switch off, connect with nature and spend quality time together.

Readers Field Glamping was born last summer. We chose to keep things small, with just four bell tents across six acres, offering all the best bits of camping but with proper beds, home comforts and all the little extras already thought of.

A huge amount of work has gone into creating Readers Field Glamping and we are incredibly proud of what it has become. Being named Muddy Stilettos Best Boutique Stay 2026 and receiving 44 wonderful 5 star Google reviews has made all that hard work even more worthwhile.
