St Albans Brutalism - celebrating the historic aesthetic. You don’t need to go to Trellick Tower to find the classic brutalist vision. Right here in St Albans we have Telford Court, named after one of the Britain’s great engineers.

These were often public housing projects, built in the high socialist years of the post-war period, that ended with the advent of Margaret Thatcher in 1979
This brought about a drive to private ownership, and these ex-local authority buildings turned out to be gems in the buy-to-let market. Robust and well-designed, but socially stigmatised, they still represent a great opportunity for people looking for hidden value.
