Paws, woodland trails, and coffee shops at both ends. What more could you ask for? 🐾☕️
We head to Kingswood a couple of times a week, as it’s just under 10 minutes from Bed and Basket. If you’re looking for total peace, you can pick a pathway through the woods where you probably won’t see another soul. The riverside path is usually a bit busier, with a refreshing river that was our ultimate go-to during the summer!
If you follow the trail towards Pentewan, you can make a whole morning of it; stop off at the local pub, head down to the beach, or visit the coffee shop with the most incredible cheesecakes! (Though let’s be honest, with a cafe at each end, you could easily just eat cake to punctuate your walk 🍰).
We even caught this magnificent heron fishing along the riverbank—watch the video to see it in action!

All of them! Big, small, fluffy, slobbery, energetic, or total couch potatoes—every single dog is welcome at Bed and Basket and Hut & Hound.

We only ask who’s coming along because we’re nosy, and to make sure we don’t leave a puppy-sized bed out if you're bringing a Great Dane!

No, we have two!

Both are fully enclosed with 5ft+ stock fencing, plus private enclosed patios with warm dog-wash showers. Close the gate, hang your sign, grab a bench in the peace and quiet, and watch them zoom around with your morning brew.

𝗠𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝗮... 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗱.
Fine by us. We have wipe-clean leather sofas, washable mats, and zero cream carpets (so no panics over muddy paws). Use our throws for the sofa, and bring your own bedding if they love a bedtime snuggle with you.

🐾 A proper Cornish day out!
We headed out for a walk to take in some beautiful waterfalls, visited ancient monuments like this incredible dolmen and wondered how it must have looked when it was buried in soil.
All that exploring worked up an appetite, so we finished the day right with a massive plate of meat from Inkies Smokehouse.
