Chy Ewn Cottage - Cornwall Holiday Rental Chy Ewn is a homely 2 bed Cornish cottage set in the heart of the historic small town of St Columb Major.

A short stroll from the door will take you to an assortment of shops (including a butcher and bakery), pubs, restaurants and takeaways. Walking to the other end of the town, past the slate hung cottages, will bring you to the magnificent 14th century church, well worth a visit. With the Cornish north coast being so close you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches with Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth being the closest. Chy Ewn has an open plan living room with a wood burner to add to the warmth in the cooler months. Guests are then led through into the light and airy kitchen with breakfast bar which leads out into the really pretty traditional cottage garden. Also on the ground floor is modern shower room with walk-in shower, basin and wc. On the first are two bedrooms; a king and a super king which can both be converted to single beds, giving the option of 4 singles. We walked along the estuary at Hayle and saw this stunning display of poppies made from shells.

Each poppy represents a life lost during the tragic events of 9/11. Rick Rescorla, born in Hayle, was responsible for saving 2,700 lives on that fateful day.
