The Solar Eclipse - what is it and where to watch it? 🌘

- - - - - - - - -

The solar eclipse is when the moon moves between the sun and the earth and blocks the sun’s light either partially or completely.

On Wednesday 12th August from 6:18pm the eclipse will begin. At around 7:16pm, the sun will be 90-96% covered by the moons shadow.

It is expected to be the coverage most seen in Britain since 1999.

Where are the best places in St Ives to watch it?
🌞Porthmeor Beach (just a few minutes from 💙 Perfect holiday rental in St Ives)
🌚Clodgy Point

Make sure that if you are watching that you are watching safely - you can purchase solar eclipse sunglasses. 🕶️
