Good morning 🌄
It has been exactly over 4 years since we first started cleaning and greening the Alleyway.

We put in a lot of hours of work "fighting" with the mammoth amount of rubbish produced and sometimes we lost hope.
Dave my partner, and my children spent hours litter picking never quite understanding fully why people would like to live in such a surrounding and yet at the same time "complaining".

It only takes one person to carry on cleaning and such a person has kept the top part of the alley clean. Thank you 🙏

The plants need nutrients, pruning and nurturing so we will be popping in next time to do that.

We want to thank all my tenants who are cooperative, helpful and tidy. ❤️

Thank you 🙏

Hello everyone here, I feel like you deserve this explanation.

I had to change the name of this FB page to reflect the work I do. This is due to the feedback from prospective tenants so that they can find me here. Thus preventing me from opening another FB page which can be time consuming managing different FB pages.

Nonetheless, we are still working in the alleyway greening, and liaising with the Council’s help twitter account where we report the rubbish in the streets in that area.

Thank you for your continuous support and we will carry on working greening.
These are recent photos from the alleyway, there are times when the alleyway is so unwelcoming but we make it clean and green again. I reported last wednesday the rubbish outside the gates in Romeny St, and the council has clear them already.
Look at the vegies in the bath :)

Good morning all.
Last week we were in the alleyway greening again, and it was lovely to see it being used by a number of children who were playing there.
Those upcycled planters are looking great in the alley and I want to thank Jim and Dave Martin for helping again. We planted lettuce I grew at home in a re-used eggbox as you can see (mini green house lol).
Children playing in a clean, green safe alleyway is what is all about.
Thank you.

Good afternoon, all.
One planter made of upcycled tyres is in use in the alley now. I finally armed myself of courage and asked Mark to gift me those bits and bobs left behind the cafe in the allotment before they went rotten to be re-used as planters for the alley. Thank you to Jim and Tom for helping out. They made my vision for those items come to fruition. We will see later this week the transformation because those planters will be painted, planted with some edibles and placed in the alleyway. Thank you.

Hello all.
Last week we planted the garlic in the alley. I think the bath tub was the most suitable place for them.

We attended the Car Boots Sale organised by Friends of Buile Hill Park. Check their page: https://www.facebook.com/FriendsOfBuileHillParkFOBHP
Please make some money from your unwated items instead of leaving them in the alley. This way, you can raise money even for your prefered charity, make friends and have fun day!

Re-using items isn't a new thing, and on that note. We went to Hebden Bridge this week and I bought some items in the second hand shops for myself . We had lunch at Lyly's Cafe :)

Please, if you can water the plants in the alley. Tehy are all yours.
Dave and I are very thankful to Mark Frith for sharing his specialist knowledge with the community @ Growing Togetherness CIC

Thank you.

Good morning!
Yesterday Dave and I spent the morning with Mark Frith from . We have our own little plot in the allotment in Buille Hill Park (Pavillion Café ). We planted lettuce, potatoes, runner beans, chives and spring onions. All I could think of was for those plants to sprout so we could transplant to the alley.

Apart from having flowering shrubs, we would love the alley to benefit from edible plants. Mark gave us some sprouting garlic to plant in the alley. In the afternoon, we went to Yorkshire for a Sunday dinner, and beautiful afternoon views.
Have a lovely week all
