Together We Shoot 🎯

Last week myself and William Crane were invited to the annual together shoot day by the fantastic Auction Team.

Started with breakfast then a practice shoot, competition and then bbq.

When I started my business I never knew what to expect.

I started with no properties to sell, no leads to call but some strong belief and purpose.

I put myself out there as Ryan Aka Mr Investa and the phone started ringing and the properties started listing.

There has been ups and downs and I’ve grew as a business owner and person.

I’ve come to learn people will let you down and make you feel small at all stages of your career, but there is also some massive cheerleaders who you meet along the way that put an arm around you, make intros and just want to help you get on.

We have done 100s of sales over the years but I still remember the first board going up and the first sale I did.

It’s not about the beginning or the end it’s about navigating through the journey.

Six years ago today my life changed for ever.

I never knew what to expect becoming a father but it immediately give me purpose and filled me with a burning desire to be better and do better.

On here I constantly talk about property and business, but today is all about him.

Mums a straight talker…

Last month I was asked to speak in manchester at the National Residential Landlords Association - NRLA event and took my mum along.

Nice day out for mum? Bringing my biggest support?

No because she tells me how it is weather is good or bad, but the feedback is always in my best interest.

Mum come and met some clients, talked to exhibitors. Then sat on the front row watching and listening to the talk, after the talk I was surrounded by landlords who wanted to ask more questions, connect and get our help.

My mum organised the que and spoke to people whilst I was answering other questions and explaining our business.

Never once did she mention she was my mum and after the event she give me the full run down of how the event, talk and feedback was.

Turns out it was very successful day, but sometimes it’s not all smooth sailing so make sure you have someone in your corner who’s a straight talker.

🛠️ A Bit of DIY with a Bigger Purpose 🙌

Great to spend some time recently helping out with a few practical jobs at church alongside our Head of Sales, William Crane who’s not just a great leader at work but also a regular at church.

From fixing a few things to tidying up the space, it was a good reminder that serving doesn’t always look like a platform, sometimes it’s just showing up with a toolbox and a willing heart.

Balancing careers in property while helping with small jobs in the church community might seem like two different worlds — but both are about building something that lasts.

Appreciate moments like these that bring faith, friendship, and teamwork together.

📈 Building a Business, Raising a Boy 👦🏼

Running a startup is a wild ride. It’s late nights, early mornings, endless to-do lists, and constant problem-solving. But being a dad, especially to my little boy Louis reminds me why I’m doing it in the first place.

Every pitch I write, every meeting I take, every risk I manage... it’s all with him in mind.

I want to build something meaningful, not just for the property market, but for the future. His future.

One of the biggest rewards of taking the leap into entrepreneurship is the flexibility to truly be present. School runs, sports days, plays, I’m not missing these moments.

I chose this path so I could build something on my own terms and share the journey with him.

To fellow parent-founders: keep building, and don’t forget to soak it all in. 💙
