Horizon started 2026 off with a bang by commencing management on 1st January 2026 of a lovely site in South Yorkshire of 12 apartments!
The client on this development wished to have a fresh approach from a new managing agent and already Horizon have reduced the running costs with some easy wins with improved efficiency.
In addition earlier in the year we held an AGM for this development where it was a perfect opportunity to meet face to face with many of the owners as we have done also on subsequent site visits during our short period in management.
Horizon were born out of helping smaller blocks in Yorkshire achieve an efficient, transparent and communicative management for their developments, which is often found lacking by larger corporate managing agents in the market.
We're delighted that we have made progress in improving the block's fire safety and financial health, but of course "Rome was not built in a day". At the same time we must remain mindful of burdening leaseholders with additional management costs in a short period which is where our collaborative approach with our Director Clients is so important to ensure we manage expectations and cashflow while ensuring our client safely navigates through the recent legislation changes affecting leasehold block management.
