Grey Suit

Grey Suit Ceramic Homewares - Handmade in Sheffield. I am a Sheffield based Artist & Designer working to create unique and completely hand-crafted ceramic homewares.

Using stoneware clay and a combination of stains and glazes, each piece is wheel-thrown. From small multi-use dishes, to tableware, to domestic pot and planters - my focus is on creating well designed, well presented and above all, well made products. I take my inspiration from the most natural sources; plants, minerals and the basic properties of the materials I work with, to produce beautiful and versatile pieces that reflect my passion for quality craft.

Again, absolutely honoured & chuffed to have been asked to paint up a lioness for the ever excellent and it simply had to be a full tribute to the Complicated Woman tour 🖤

Thankyou so much to for trusting me that a bonnet was the way to go. I asked my friends for their most impactful lyrics, which I've 'embroidered' into the cloak, so hopefully once this babe is out and about your find a couple of your favourites sewn in there.

Something a little different for the dustbowl.. I've been honoured to have been asked to paint a lion in tribute to Sheffields own for , and so of course we had to go with a Gibson ES335esque face and a cosmic Coles Corner inspired body 🎸💫

Last night we got to see so, so many excellent lions & lionesses at Sheffield Arena - I feel very lucky to be in such great company. Can't wait 'til they're all roaming free!

Also a big Thankyou to for letting me take over the basement this last month and scrabble around with my many brushes, compressors, bowls of water, coffee mugs oh, and this one huge lion 🖤

Oooh the studio has been BUSY.

It tends to be the quieter I am here, the more I have going on in the dustbowl and the last few months I have been practicing ceramics as an endurance sport.

With several large and ongoing projects now either at a good spot to pause or at their end, I am very ready for a regroup, a reflect and a big sit down. I'll save you the essays and updates here, but I do have a newsletter brewing so will be back with that very soon.

Wrapping up some goods for tomorrows Mini Market and I need a minute for the Almond glazed Mini Mugs.. Glossy, toasty, thee ideal Coffee Cup size - They just might be perfect.

Come on by tomorrow to weigh one of these beauties in your hands before you print your very own Christmas jumper (come on!) under guidance of the Hunks themselves. Peruse excellent art from local legends and and then print all your own Christmas cards too!

If that isn't enough, will be hosting their own Open Studio just over the road featuring the excellent and - It's a heck of a line up!
