Mould isn't the only thing moisture introduces, a damp home can also attract a pest infestation depending on the severity.

Next time you see any insects, make sure they aren’t propagating near any pipe-intensive areas like:

🟢 Showers
🟢 Bathtubs
🟢 Washing machines

If they are, you may have a leak that invites insects like silverfish who are attracted to the standing water.

Your problem may run deeper. Poorly insulated pipes can cause condensation, rotting any fitted boards that haven’t been replaced in some time, which has a high chance of attracting rats.
