🏃‍♀️ SHEFFIELD 10K IS COMING! 🏃‍♂️💚

One of Sheffield’s biggest running events returns on Sunday 27th September 2026, and we’re looking forward to seeing the city come together for another fantastic day! 🙌

📅 Sunday 27th September 2026
⏰ 10K starts at 9:30 AM
📍 Start & Finish: Arundel Gate, Sheffield City Centre

The route starts in the city centre before heading up Ecclesall Road, through Rustlings Road and Oakbrook Road, passing Endcliffe Park and the Botanical Gardens, before looping back towards the city centre for the finish. 🏁

There’s plenty happening later in the day for younger runners too, with the Sheffield Mini & Junior Run:
👟 Junior Run – 12:00 PM
👟 Mini Run – 12:30 PM

🚗 Travelling around Sheffield?
Temporary road closures are expected around Ecclesall Road, the city centre and surrounding areas during the morning and early afternoon, so it’s worth allowing extra time for your journey.

City-centre parking options include Q-Park Rockingham Street and APCOA on The Moor, although Q-Park Charles Street may be restricted during the event.

Whether you’re taking on the full 10K, supporting family and friends, or simply heading into town to soak up the atmosphere, we hope everyone has a brilliant day.

We wanted to make you aware that there is a football match taking place at Bramall Lane on Sunday 13 September.

As Sheffield Hallam University's Welcome Week begins on Monday 14 September, we are expecting that a number of tenants may be travelling to the area on the Sunday.

Please be aware that there will be road closures and significant congestion around Bramall Lane and the surrounding area on match day. This is also expected to coincide with many first-year students moving into university accommodation over the weekend, which is likely to add further traffic to the roads.

If you are planning to travel into Sheffield on Sunday 13 September and have some flexibility over your arrival date, we would strongly recommend travelling on an alternative day if possible. Travelling on the Sunday is likely to be considerably more difficult and stressful due to the combination of the football match, road closures and increased student traffic.

If you do need to travel on Sunday, please allow plenty of extra time for your journey and be prepared for delays, particularly if you are travelling by car.
