Another new discovery today. And have to say we we’re suitably impressed and enjoyed the place very much !

Late arrival last night and could do with more sleep but the sun is out and my favourite view awaited.

🌞 The sunshine graced us again today !
🐕 So we walked the dogs the front
🥪 before a car pic Nic and off to
🛝 North Walsham to JR's
for my son’s idea of heaven ( definitely NOT mine !) for softplay !
After the session the☀️ was still our so we decided to treat ourselves to an ice cream in Cromer on the way back and a meander down the pier
🥶 and it was quick as it was soooo cold !!
But worth it !
🌼 Spring is on its way !

🌊 well it’s been a busy start to 2026 with guests already. The bungalow has already thrown us some money expensive challenges to deal with this year ! A big boiler repair bill and a new mattress as one developed a gap the size of the Grand Canyon down the middle !
I can’t wait to now spend a few nights away there to enjoy some sea air and a change of scenery. Fingers crossed 🤞 we can actually actually relax there this time rather than find more mainland tasks to do !
I feel a Whelk Coppers breakfast is deserved and Crumble Crib for desert one evening. We’ll call in to Tide and Earth for a great coffee to earn us up after a dog walk. And of course we’ll indulge in a Winibees Bakery treat too. A lotto look forward to. Make the stresses of firefighting maintenance issues a little sweeter !

2025 has been a mixed bag for me. Great sadness and great joy. I’ve had the bitter sweet of finally being able to enjoy the seaside without the great burden of worry I’ve carried for the last long 3 years.
I’m so grateful to have the husband I have and faithful friends, without whom I would have fallen and not gotten up.
Thank you to all those who have shown kindness, patience and compassion over the last BUMPY WAVE of a year. I don’t think I’ll ever not be firefighting but now the knife edge lifestyle has gove I’m finally starting to learn to breathe and be grateful for those who have kept me going.

I’m grateful for “The Bunpy Wave” and those who have shared its calm.

Happy 2026 to all our guests, past, present and future ! ⭐
