🏆 Shrewsbury has been ranked the No.1 retail centre in the West Midlands – and 3rd nationally among large towns – in Newmark’s 2025 Vitality Rankings.

The study of 750 UK retail centres also saw us climb 19 places overall into the Top 50 nationwide, ahead of Birmingham, Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon.

This is a major endorsement of Shrewsbury’s retail strength – from independents and national brands to our award-winning Market Hall and leisure offer – helping the town thrive.
