Our first spring garlic ever and a thyme plant in full bloom we rescued from being very dry and dusty by sitting it on an old collar Jasper had after an operation! It lifted it off the hot gravel for the whole of last Summer and now it couldn’t be looking (or tasting!) better!

Well, from the guy who doesn't like carrots much... I threw the off cuts from my pickled carrot recipe into a small bowl with some left over, barely warm pickling liquid a day or so ago and popped the bowl in the 'fridge. Just an experiment, to see if there was any 'quick pickle' possiblilty.

I can't stop nibbling on them! Now cannot wait to see what the jar is going to taste like!
