Jps info and FAQ’s

Hey everyone - with our season about to start we thought we would just answer some of the most frequently asked questions and pass on some info that we think may be useful.

🤙 We take bookings in advance via text, call or email.
🤙 You can turn up on the day and we usually have space but as the day goes on we get booked up.
🤙 Wetsuits and buoyancy aids are included, dry bags and phone cases are also available.
🤙 We wash all our wetsuits out with anti viral wetsuit wash, we can promise they are cleaned but we can’t promise they will be dry 🥶
🤙 If you have booked then please allow enough time to get here, find a parking space and be here 15 minutes before your booking to ensure you get your full hour session.
🤙 Please respect the lifeguards and the Red and Yellow flagged bathing area. This area is for swimmers and bodyboarders only and no hard craft, SUPS, kayaks or boats are allowed in that area.
🤙 Please respect the advice the Jurassic team give you. It’s only for your safety and to help maximise the enjoyment of your session.
🤙 Please if you are driving a boat or jet ski off Sidmouth slow down under 8 knots / no wake inside the yellow buoys.
🤙 When the Stuart line cruise boat comes in please give it a wide birth and avoid swimming or paddling behind them when they are docked on the beach.
🤙 Please if you call us and we don’t answer send us a text and we will get straight back to you.
🤙 We do not take deposits but please if you know you can’t make your booking please let us know.
🤙 We can paddle through all tides, the wind is the main factor that affects us.
🤙 We are OPEN 7 days a week in July and August and weekends only on June weather permitting so please always check to see if we are open by looking at our daily social media or giving us a call or text.
🤙 Our season ends on Sunday the 11th of September.
🤙 We do not have an age restriction it just depends on the conditions.
🤙 We are fully insured and hold an official concession to operate with East Devon District Council
🤙 The Jurassic team are all fully qualified paddle board instructors with SUP safety and rescue, kayak and surf instructors and fully qualified surf lifeguards with casualty care first aid training.
🤙 We don’t have changing facilities.
🤙 Please don’t try and book by commenting on a post or messaging us through Instagram as we might not see it and you may miss out.
🤙 We don’t sell any equipment.
🤙 We highly recommend Seaton Bay Watersports, Budleigh Paddle sports, AS Watersports and Edge Watersports.

Sidmouth’s popularity as a holiday resort began in the Georgian era before becoming the place to be during Queen Victoria’s reign. The town’s connection to the Regency period is evident thanks to the many buildings and hotels that still proudly dominate the town, particularly along the seafront.

This isn’t the only connection to Queen Victoria though because long before she became Queen, she spent childhood holidays in Sidmouth, much like many of you did! 👑
