Protecting our community. ✊

We’re proud to unveil plans to help defend our development from the impacts of flooding, with a £151m flood risk resilience scheme that will extend to programmes across the wider Skegness area.

Sue Bowser, of Croftmarsh, said: “The Gateway team take the issue of flooding very seriously. It’s one of the key reasons we have generated this funding, which contributes positively to schemes that maintain and mitigate against the risks posed by flooding and water management.

“We’ve worked hard to come up with a solution that not only protects our development, but also our wider home of Skegness, closely collaborating with the Environment Agency and East Lindsey District Council.

“Regenerating the area is hugely important to us as a fifth-generation family in the area, and we’re pleased to see the acceleration of a scheme that will bring new homes, jobs and greater prosperity to our region.”

Another day, another encouraging sign that our seaside town is on the up as a £15m Skegness diagnostic centre proposal has won town council support.

A community diagnostics centre would be a huge help to the people of Skegness, enhancing healthcare links without the need for patients to travel afar for support.

Likewise, our project aims to help aid health and wellbeing in the community, with supported living options, access to plentiful green spaces and an integrated mobility hub for increased transport accessibility.

Proposals for a new £15 million ‘one-stop’ NHS Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in Skegness have won support from town councillors.
