There’s something rather magical about Swaledale in October.

The hills begin to turn golden, the mornings have that lovely crispness in the air, walks become even more inviting and there’s nothing quite like coming back to a cosy cottage after a day exploring.

We still have some October dates available at Westholme, tucked away in the beautiful village of Thwaite.

One of the things we’re most grateful for at Cozy Holiday Cottages is the lovely feedback we receive from our guests.

We genuinely love hearing that you’ve enjoyed your time in one of our cottages, whether it’s the walks, the scenery, the cosy evenings, the little touches, or simply having somewhere to slow down and spend time together (and, of course, with your four-legged friends 🐾).

The crispness in the air, the changing colours, the crunch of leaves beneath your feet and that feeling of being surrounded by nature.

Oh, autumn…how we’ve missed you 🍂

There’s something rather special about heading out for a walk at this time of year.

Crisp mornings, golden leaves, changing colours, the wonderful autumn light and the feeling of the seasons slowly turning…

Boots on.
Coats zipped up.
Four paws ready for adventure. 🐾

And then, after all that fresh air and exploring, there’s only one thing left to do…reward ourselves with a Pumpkin Spiced Latte! 🎃☕️

Because surely that’s how autumn walks work?

In the not-too-distant future, you'll be able to travel by train to enjoy your stay at Croft House as well as leaving the car behind to hop on board the train for days out.

When we started Cozy Holiday Cottages, our dream was pretty simple…

To share some of the most beautiful parts of the Yorkshire Dales with people who want to slow down, escape the everyday and enjoy a proper Yorkshire break.

A few years on, we’re incredibly proud to have four beautiful cottages for you to choose from - each with its own character, its own setting and its own little bit of Dales magic.

🏡 Moss View Cottage - Oughtershaw, Upper Wharfedale

A peaceful 17th-century cottage tucked away in the heart of the Dales, right on the Dales Way. Two king bedrooms, a large enclosed garden, beautiful walks from the door and your own private hot tub overlooking Oughtershaw Beck. Perfect for getting away from it all.

🏡 High Greenfield Cottage - Langstrothdale

For those looking for peace, space and wonderful countryside on the doorstep. A traditional Dales setting, beautiful walks, wildlife and a cosy cottage to return to after a day exploring.

🏡 Westholme - Thwaite, Swaledale
A characterful cottage in one of the most spectacular corners of the Dales. Just yards from the Pennine Way, with fabulous walking straight from the door and the beautiful Swaledale landscape all around you.

🏡 Croft House - Redmire, Wensleydale
A lovely two-bedroom cottage in the heart of a traditional Dales village, with the local pub just a minute’s walk away. A wonderful base for exploring Wensleydale, with beautiful countryside and villages waiting to be discovered.
