VEHICLE GATE USE
The vehicle gates are NOT for pedestrian entrance or exit. It is essential that we minimise wear and tear on the gate mechanism to prevent unnecessary repairs. The current frequency of pedestrian access will place undue stress on the operating mechanism and residents are therefore asked not to use the gates for this purpose.
The gates are timed to remain open for a period for safety after vehicle entrance. However, this does allow for tailgating into the car park by unauthorised users. Pedestrians can help reduce the opportunity for this by not using the gate for entrance and exit.
When intending to enter the development by car please do not open gates before having them in your sight. This to ensure that the gates do not open out and hit pedestrians, particularly the elderly, the frail and children.
If you are a landlord - please ensure that all new tenants are provided with fobs and that their names and mobile telephone numbers are registered with Bright Willis. Please also ensure that property agents’ hand over information about how to operate the gates to new tenants. This is important and avoids people being locked out of the development.
Anyone found tampering with, or vandalising, the gate will be prosecuted.
If you have any questions about the operation of the vehicle gates or require the pedestrian gate code please contact Bright Willis on 0121 693 6000
