The old entrance canopy had seen better days, looking tired yet still firmly fixed. Despite its solid construction, it offered limited shelter, leaving the homeowner fumbling for keys on rainy.

This Anderson shelter stood for years, original doors handmade by the father. Time eventually took its toll, and a new set of doors was needed—without losing the character and care built into the originals.
The old, heavy doors were replaced with bespoke, handcrafted alternatives. A split 2/3 and 1/3 configuration now allows for easy everyday access, while still opening fully when required. Built with a robust 47×47mm frame and 22mm tongue-and-groove facing boards, the new doors are strong, durable, and made to last. Wherever possible, original fixtures and fittings were reused, preserving an element of Dad’s handiwork.

An interesting little project bringing together practicality, precision, and thoughtful design across three different workshop needs.
Two mobile stands, each with lockable castors, created to make working in small spaces easier, allowing equipment to move yet stay firmly in place when used.
One built to house a router, forming a compact table with drawers for cutters/tools etc.
The second was designed for a large pillar drill, again incorporating drawers keeping everything close at hand and neatly stored.
Alongside these, a separate drawer unit was made for a glass artist, providing organised storage for drawings, plans, and the everyday items that tend to accumulate in any creative workspace.
Every piece was made by hand, measured precisely to suit its intended use and space.
