Hi everyone,
I live at number 8 Vermont Close and my bike has been stolen in the last 24 hours from inside our garage. I was wondering if anyone else has had anything stolen from outside or around their house in the last few days? Or does anyone know if there is any CCTV in the area? I have attached a picture of the bike. If anyone has any information that might be useful, please call me on 07590519432.

It's wild out there today isn't it? The wind through the trees in the woods make an unusual sound much like being on the sea!

Hopefully when it all calms down we can collect the branches and twigs up so that they don't get in the way of pedestrians or cars.

Small groups of children from the school are doing cycling proficiency courses in the close this week and possibly next week too.

They are in high viz tabards and likely to appear round the bend close to the houses so please drive carefully if you see them.

Welcome back to everyone after the Christmas break. We hope both the new and old Vermont Close residents are well and not been to poorly with this horrible cold that has been going round.

For those of you away from Columbia Lodge over the holidays, when you get back you won't be able to park down the lane as the council have (unhelpfully) put huge tree trunks and soil on the left hand side where cars were parked last term.

I can't see the logic of this as what they have done narrows the track to the same extent as cars did so I have no idea what the rationale behind this action is.

I had a reply to my email about signage with good news from SuperUni

"The Columbia lodge sign is temporary whilst a new one is on order. The new has been slightly delayed but please be assured that its in hand.

Google Maps have updated their Southampton map and Columbia lodge now appears on it, so hopefully this will aid the delivery drivers."

Let's hope the signage is easy to see from the road and that all deliveries start to go where they should! I've just tried the maps and the street view stops outside number 6 so I've notified Google that this isn't right. Usually moving a point takes a week or so. Fingers crossed!
