The Stables really is the most perfect little bolt hole for up to 2 people plus pets. Our guests choose to return time and time again and we are well known for being far more than just pet friendly. Nestled in the tranquil and friendly village of Sproxton in the glorious Leicestershire countryside there certainly is lots to love about this little haven.
There is plenty to explore locally if you wish to venture out. Why not pick up a world famous pork pie from Melton Mowbray which is a market town steeped in history or visit one of the many dog friendly pubs or cafes in the surrounding area. We always provide recommendations before your stay which many guests find helpful as they look forward to exploring everything that Leicestershire has to offer.
If you don’t fancy heading out then never fear as many of our guests delight in staying home and recharging and The Stables is the most glorious retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Splendid walks can be enjoyed straight from the door and you and your pups will have everything that you need at this delightfully cosy and characterful cottage.
Why not curl up with a pup and one of the many snuggly blankets, hunker down with a roaring fire or binge watch your latest series on Netflix on our smart tvs. If the weather is glorious then fling open the bi-fold doors and enjoy a cold drink and let the dogs enjoy pottering in the sun in the enclosed courtyard garden.
Both pets and people receive a welcome hamper and dogs love that the cottage is all on one level and they are allowed everywhere so they can keep their beady eyes on you.
Hose off after easily after muddy walks with the outdoor mud wash complete with hot and cold running water.
