If an agent genuinely had a ready, willing and able buyer specifically looking for a property like yours, wouldn’t the quickest and most effective step be to contact the agent already marketing your home and arrange a viewing immediately?
The reality is, many of these unsolicited letters are simply prospecting tools designed to win instructions from homeowners whose properties are already listed elsewhere.
And another question worth asking..
If an agent is spending their time posting speculative letters or knocking on doors trying to win new instructions, are they dedicating enough time to speaking with qualified buyers, progressing existing sales and looking after the clients they already represent?
