Celebrating the women of BTP Architects this 🌸

This year’s IWD 2026 theme, Give To Gain, highlights the power of generosity, collaboration and lifting one another up.

At BTP, we see this every day. From sharing knowledge and mentoring colleagues to supporting clients and communities, the women across our teams help create opportunities, strengthen partnerships and inspire progress.

When we give support, we multiply opportunity, and when women thrive, we all rise.

Thank you to the talented women at BTP whose dedication, creativity and leadership continue to shape a more inclusive and collaborative built environment.

Celebrating Women in Construction Week 👷‍♀️🏗️

This week marks Women in Construction Week, a time to recognise and celebrate the talented women helping to shape the built environment.

At BTP Architects, we’re proud to have brilliant women across our team... from architects and principal designers to surveyors, project managers and Passivhaus specialists.

The construction and architecture industries are stronger when they are diverse, collaborative and inclusive, and we’re committed to supporting opportunities for women across the sector.

A huge thank you to the women at BTP and across the industry whose work, dedication and innovation continue to drive the profession forward and foster future careers for women in construction.

Now complete in Sale: William’s Row 🎶🏠

BTP is delighted to announce the completion of William’s Row, a £1.75m residential development on Chapel Road, located within a well-established residential area close to Sale Town Centre.

Named after composer John Williams and delivered for Trafford Council, the scheme marks the first outright sale development of its type to be brought forward by the Council.

The completed development comprises five new four-bedroom homes, four semi-detached and one detached, designed to provide high-quality, functional and modern living for future residents.

The homes were constructed by J G Greenwood, with engineering support from P&G Consulting.

The project involved the demolition of two existing buildings to prepare the site for redevelopment. BTP’s design approach responded sensitively to its surroundings, drawing cues from the Claremont Centre and the area’s varied architectural character and surrounding housing.

We’re proud to see William’s Row now delivered, providing thoughtfully designed new homes in the heart of Sale.

Practical Completion: Greenbrow Social Club 🥳🏠

We’re proud to share that the redevelopment of Greenbrow Social Club has now reached Practical Completion, with BTP working as architects, on behalf of Wythenshawe Community Housing Group and alongside contractor Casey.

The scheme will deliver 8 new houses and 15 apartments, transforming the former social club site into high-quality new affordable housing for the community.

As architects, we have focused on ensuring this redevelopment provides suitable, well-designed homes for those in the local area, which you can see in the wonderful photos here.

It’s been amazing to see the site brought back to life, this has been a great scheme for us at BTP and for everyone in the project team;   👏

: Kingsway House, Warrington 🏢

Almost 2 years on from the completion of this project, we are looking back on a great example of intentional design to provide safe, comfortable and affordable housing in Warrington.

The £6.4m high-rise refurbishment breathed new life into a 1960s tower block in Latchford, transforming it into 53 modern, energy-efficient homes. Designed by BTP with sustainability at the heart, the project delivered:

✅ Renovated homes with new kitchens, bathrooms and open living spaces

🛗 New lifts and improved accessibility for residents

🌿 Balconies, green spaces and upgraded communal areas

🔥 External wall insulation, high-performance windows and a communal air-source heat pump under PAS 2035 (first of its kind in a high-rise)

👨‍🚒 Enhanced safety measures in partnership with Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service

Through collaborative design and retrofit innovation, Kingsway House demonstrates that sustainable refurbishment and community-led transformation are at the heart of what we do here at BTP.

💜Dignity Action Month 💜

Dignity means feeling safe, respected and valued - and the places we design can play a powerful role in that.

This February, during Dignity Action Month, we’re reflecting on how thoughtful architecture can support dignity at every stage of life.
From homes that promote independence and wellbeing, to welcoming, inclusive environments that support care, connection and choice.

Good design isn’t just about buildings. It’s about people, and creating spaces that enable dignity, comfort and a sense of belonging.

Our work to transform Brickfields House in Tameside provided 42 high-quality apartments for locals aged 55+.

Each home featured thoughtfully designed bathrooms with walk in showers and plenty of space, the building is equipped with a lift for accessibility and mobility scooter storage was incorporated on-site.

The Brickfields House residents’ comfort and safety was a priority for us, providing a comprehensive living experience tailored to them, not just housing.

At BTP, we’re proud to work with partners who share this commitment, designing places that put people first.
