Hi again, I hope everyone enjoyed their New Year celebrations, and all doggies managed the fireworks ok. My 2 gorgeous fur babies struggle around bonfire night but usually manage the New Year pretty well. So I hope yours are all good too.
This job, as you can see, was definitely a big journey from a jungle back to all garden. This inspiring couple asked me to help them get back on top of their garden so they could once again enjoy it, and It was my absolute pleasure to do it.
They weren't sure what they wanted to do with a space that had previously been used to grow vegetables. There was a lot of garden waste that had built up for them over previous years and they weren't sure how to move forward. We agreed that I would be there almost every week for a few hours at a time, so this took several visits. I removed the garden waste, vast amounts of ivy, elderberry trees, bramble and all the other lovely w**ds and plants that have a tendency to take over if not maintained. In the end I removed around 23 very large bags of garden waste with additional tree stumps, and broken planters.
When we had some clear ground I headed off to the garden centre with a list of their favourite plants, got them planted up, built some frames for the fruit brushes and laid a few slabs so that they were able to access everything without walking all over the soil to w**d and prune the plants once again.
I thoroughly enjoyed this job, seeing something develop that they could once again enjoy was extremely rewarding both for them and me.
